Abstract We report on the experimental observation of mirror-enhanced directional surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) from a self-assembled monolayer molecules coupled to nanowire-nanoparticle (NW-NP) junction mirror in remote excitation configuration. Placing NW-NP metallic generates multiple gap plasmon modes that have unique momentum space-scattering signatures. perform Fourier plane imaging SERS understand effect hotspots molecular emission. systematically study ground directionality emission and show presence drastically reduces angular spread The geometry is studied using 3D numerical simulations. results presented here will implications understanding hybridization space its effects
